that may get longer- let’s just put it down to technical difficulties!

in the meantime, here’s some recent pictures:

more fishing

another pillowcase dress! elastic smocked this time.

aunty t with birdie

holding hands.

in other news, i’ve joined twitter, in case anyone does that sort of thing besides me. i’m thinking of putting it up here. too weird? maybe you don’t really want to know every little thing that happens in my life ;)

hopefully the technical issues will get worked out. and i win the lottery. or at least a new computer.

before she goes back home to london

boy, i have a backlog of posts coming up (like one about ella’s special birthday crown for bunny!), but i just wanted to pop in with one thing today-

got a job shooting my first wedding in august! wow. what a privilege to photograph someone’s special day. i can’t wait! also have a couple maternity sessions coming up.

am i a professional photographer yet? :)

bunny’s birthday was in the last week of may, and it was a total, all-out kitty festival.

  • kitty faces
  • kitty ears (made by mama)
  • kitty dress (made by mama)
  • kitty cupcakes (made by- you guessed it)
  • mousie cupcakes (ditto)
  • kitty food (aw, you know)

other things insisted upon: we had to call her “kitty” all day. she wanted tuna at her hot dog roast. because in addition to mousies, “that’s what kitties eat.”

can you believe i managed to escape last post’s scenario without an ACTUAL KITTEN???

we had a little party with two of her friends (one from school!) and my entire family. she received PINK COWBOY BOOTS from her other set of grandparents, which have hardly left her feet since. they are good for kitty wrangling as well as horse milking, apparently- two regular adventures at our house.

this was the year that it hit her that her birthday is a special celebration that is about her, you know? and she was just so proud and sweet about it. she really had a wonderful day. three! it feels a lot older than two, or two and a half, even.

at least it does to me.

happy birthday, little kitty. may this year be even sweeter than your last. i love you with all my mama kitty heart.

the are so happy story

When Bunny was younger, she used to have a habit of asking, "Are so happy?"

{translation: are you happy?}

I took it as my constant reminder that we can always choose happiness.

Are so happy?
